What Is the Difference Between a Lucky Spin and a Jackpot Spin?
Anime Dice has two consumables that do the same job at different sizes: they load a luck multiplier onto your next roll, then they are gone. The difference is the multiplier and the price tag.
- Lucky Spin — earned, not bought. Its own tooltip, captured in the frame below, reads
Applies 100x luck to your next roll., and the item is labelledExotic. Codes hand it out, the group rewards hand it out, and the Quests Shop trades Tickets for it. - Jackpot Spin — bought, not earned. The shop panel advertising it prints
1,000x Luck multiplier on next roll!over three Robux bundles. There is no free source of Jackpot Spins anywhere in our frames.
Both feed the same roll, so the real decision is not “which is better” — it is where each one comes from, and when to let it fire.
Every screen on this page was read frame by frame from two clean screen captures:
Source: the frames below come from RexonSIM’s I Spent ROBUX For *NEW* UPD 4 Units in Anime Dice Roblox! — recorded on UPD 4 — and RustScroll’s GOING NOOB 2 SECRET IN ROBLOX ANIME DICE!!! (PART 1…), whose upload does not state its patch on camera; we only use frames from it that show panels and behaviour the UPD 4 session corroborates. Neither video carries a facecam, so we screenshot freely, credit both channels here, and deep-link every image back to the exact second. A third session — a beginner guide by Cocajola (full guide) — shows the same spin behaviour on camera but carries burned-in word captions, so we quote it and did not screenshot it.

What Does a Lucky Spin Do?
A Lucky Spin is an item that sits in your Backpack’s Items tab until it is loaded onto a roll. The frame that defines it best is the Group Rewards panel’s tooltip — the game’s own words, not a wiki summary: Lucky Spin, rarity Exotic, Applies 100x luck to your next roll.

The tooltip says it all: 100x luck, one roll, then the item is spent.

Loading spins works as a queue. In the frame below, the creator has loaded two of them — his backpack still shows a Lucky Spin x2 stack — and the green banner across the screen reads +1 Lucky Spin Consumed! Roll to use it! with an [x2] tag. The bracketed number tracks the pair he loaded; each roll burns one and the tag counts down. We describe the tag as a queue counter because that is what the two numbers show in this single frame — the game itself never labels it.

The consumption banner is the same one you will see when spins arrive uninvited — more on that below.

One more UPD 4 behaviour, visible only in narration: the result no longer shows cleanly. The creator half-laughs, half-complains, “did they make it so you don’t actually see what you get now? … it showed AA. But that’s not AA. So it’s actually worse”, and later, “there’s actually suspense for this now… it shows a little thing but it’s not right.” The screen first teases a result, then reveals the real one — and the tease can be wrong. We never caught the fake preview in a frame, so take this one as the creator’s description, not a verified screen.
What Does a Jackpot Spin Buy?
The Robux shop’s answer is printed right on the panel — including the game’s own spelling of the section header, Jackspot Spins:

Three bundles, each stamped OP! — and yes, the header really is spelled “Jackspot” in the current build.
Watch the Jackpot Spins panel at 6:31
The three bundles read 1 Spin — 72, 5 Spins — 342 and 10 Spins — 675 Robux, which is exactly what our Robux shop price walkthrough recorded a patch earlier — so the pricing has survived at least one update unchanged, at roughly 67.5 Robux per spin if you buy ten. The floating quick-buy button at the right edge of the screen advertises a Jackpot Roll 999x Luck at 79; whether that is the same product priced a second way is the same open question our robux-shop page flags, and we still leave it unconfirmed.
What does 1,000x luck actually return? The UPD 4 session spends five bought spins after stacking potions and dice luck, and the run pulls a unit worth 45 quadrillion, a 270 quadrillion secret, and a unit the creator believes is brand new to the update. Those are single-session anecdotes, not odds — no table of what a Jackpot Spin can roll exists on any screen we captured, so we deliberately do not print one.
How Does the Auto-Use Trap Burn Free Spins?
This is the part worth reading twice. A granted spin applies to your next roll — and if Auto Roll is running, the next roll happens about a second after the grant. Redeem a code with Auto Roll on and the spin is consumed before you can spend it on purpose.
The frame below catches it exactly: the code 10KCCU sits entered in the Shop’s Codes tab, the grant toasts read +2 Lucky Spin, +10 Trait Reroll and +10 Gems, and across the panel stretches the banner +1 Lucky Spin Consumed! Roll to use it! [x2] over Code redeemed!. Granted and consumed, in the same second.
![A code redeemed while Auto Roll was running: the +2 Lucky Spin grant is flagged as consumed before it can be saved Anime Dice Shop Codes tab with the code 10KCCU entered and grant toasts for +2 Lucky Spin, +10 Trait Reroll and +10 Gems under a banner reading +1 Lucky Spin Consumed! Roll to use it! [x2]](/images/articles/lucky-vs-jackpot-spins/lucky-vs-jackpot-spins-code-redeemed-lucky-spin-consumed.webp)
The grant and the consumption banner share one screen — that is the whole trap in a single frame.
Watch the code redemption at 1:24
Both creators react to the same behaviour. RexonSIM, mid-redemption: “did it automatically use my lucky spins? … Oh my, it did. Okay, man. You know, that’s kind of disappointing.” Cocajola, whose whole guide recommends Auto Roll from minute one, hits it while redeeming codes: “one lucky spin consumed… this just automatically gives you lucky spin”, and adds, “I would have probably rather have waited.”
The fix costs nothing: turn Auto Roll off before you redeem codes or claim rewards, and the spin waits in your backpack until you choose the roll it lands on. That is exactly what the UPD 4 session does before its big spin stretch — the creator toggles Auto Roll off, then loads his spins by hand. If you would rather keep Auto Roll on, the alternative is timing: save your redemptions for a moment when your luck is already stacked, because the spins will fire whether you are ready or not. The live codes themselves live on our Anime Dice codes page.
Where Do Lucky Spins Come From?
Three channels are proven on screen, and one more is likely:
- Redeem codes. The Shop’s Codes tab pays Lucky Spins directly — the
10KCCUframe above shows a single code granting two. New codes are the fastest free source; our codes page tracks them. - Group Rewards. Requirements:
Join the group,Like the game!— the panel’s own spelling of “Recieve” included. Claiming pays+2 Lucky Spin,+5 Gemsand+5 Trait Reroll, as the toasts in the frame below show. A second creator’s session, recorded while the UPD 3-era codes were still live, shows the same claim paying a Lucky Spin, so this channel is not new. - The Quests Shop. Inside the Quests panel, the Shop tab trades Tickets for a Lucky Spin card — the UPD 4 session’s creator walks up to the board saying he is “spending these tickets on these lucky spins”. Our Quests and Tickets guide maps the whole board.
- Daily Rewards (likely). The creators point at the Daily Rewards button as a recurring grant, but none of our frames show its pay table, so we will not list specific rewards until we can screenshot one.

The clover card is the target; the numbers on its ticket pill changed between the patch we shot for the quests guide and this one.
Watch the Quests Shop tab at 5:05

Two spins for joining a group and liking a game — just make sure Auto Roll is off when you press Claim.
One honesty note on the Quests Shop card: its ticket pill read 60 / 20 when we shot the quests guide and reads 5 / 20 in this UPD 4 frame, and the panel labels neither side of the slash. We still do not know which figure is the price, so we print both snapshots and interpret nothing.
When Should You Use Each Spin?
The consensus across all three sessions is the same: a spin is only as good as the luck already stacked under it. The multiplier multiplies your current luck, so the same Lucky Spin is worth far more after potions, dice upgrades and rebirth bonuses are running.
- Stack first, spin second. RustScroll puts it plainly when his first free spins arrive: “we’ll save all of this stuff for later when we have more luck.” The UPD 4 session’s entire arc is that sentence in practice — tower potions, dice upgrades and rebirths first, spins only after.
- Lucky Spins are the working currency. They arrive for free all week, so spending one on a decently buffed roll is fine. What you should not do is let them burn on an unbuffed account — Cocajola’s early codes were eaten by rolls before he had any luck to multiply, which is why he “would have probably rather have waited”.
- Jackpot Spins are the finisher. At ten times the multiplier and real money, they belong on the biggest luck stack of your session. The UPD 4 run bought its five spins only after the new tower’s potions and a pile of dice upgrades, and that is when the top-tier units came out.
- Pair the spins with targets worth hitting. A 1,000x roll on a unit you will sell tomorrow is waste. The character tier list ranks what is worth chasing, and the dice and block upgrade order covers the cheap luck that should be running before any spin fires.
For the luck sources themselves — which tower drops which potion tier, and what the new UPD 4 tower added — see the Infinity Tower guide and the upgrade tree priorities. Patch-by-patch changes to all of this land in the update history.
