What Do Block and Dice Upgrades Actually Change?

The developer’s own description reduces the whole economy to two levers: the official Anime Dice page tells you to “Roll dice and reveal insane Anime characters” and “Upgrade your dice to gain even more luck”, while cash keeps generating while you are offline.

Upgrading along the block ladder does one structural thing: it shifts which rarities can appear in your roll pool. Higher block tiers squeeze low-rarity units out of the pool so your cash buys proportionally more high-rarity pulls, up to the Mythic tier at the top of the ladder. So What Does Each Block Upgrade Cost? (UPD 3 Status)

We checked every public source we could reach on 2026-09-10, and the honest answer is: no per-tier cost table exists in text form anywhere.

• The official Roblox game page and update announcements list mechanics, not prices.
• The major English guide sites covering the game (Pro Game Guides, games.gg) document codes and currencies but never print upgrade costs.
• The community fan wikis deliberately avoid listing costs they have not personally verified in a live client.
• Top guide videos show the upgrade menu on screen, but none publish the numbers in their descriptions.

This means the only trustworthy cost readout is the one inside your own game client, because an incremental game this young rebalances its price curves between patches — a copied table goes stale faster than it gets copied at all.

How to Judge Any Upgrade Price Without a Table: Payback Time

You do not need a leaked spreadsheet to decide correctly. The method is arithmetic with the two numbers your HUD already shows:

1. Read your income rate — the cash-per-second your placed units are generating.
2. Divide the displayed upgrade cost by that rate — this gives you the raw wait time the upgrade costs you.
3. Compare against the alternative purchase — a slot expansion, a cheaper luck node, or saving for a Lucky Spin burst after redeeming your codes.

General rule of thumb for any idle tycoon: skip anything whose payback time is longer than a full day away from the game, and buy first whatever pays back soonest. Blocks that fail that test are not bad — they are just early.

Every step below is backed by either the official description, our own published pages, or a dated secondary source — no invented numbers:

3. Then spend cash income on the dice upgrade path. This is the luck lever the official description names; more luck is what pulls the high-multiplier units that make later blocks worth buying.
4. Keep Gems for dice abilities, not impulse buys. Multiple guide outlets (games.gg, September 2026) describe Gems as the general upgrade currency for dice power — the wallet you protect until your cash economy is running.
5. Reroll traits only on keepers. A luckier pool produces more Epic-plus units; spend rerolls where they compound, per our Traits Guide.
