Anime Dice Gears: Rarities, Bonuses and Where They Drop

Anime Dice gears are UPD 6 tower-drop equipment worn in the Backpack's Gears tab. We read six of them frame by frame: name, rarity word and bonus row.

FAQ

What are gears in Anime Dice?
Gears are wearable equipment added in UPD 6. They come out of the same Drops panel that has always listed a tower's potions and gems, and they are worn in the Backpack's Gears tab rather than kept as consumables. Every gear we hovered printed two things: a rarity word on the second line of its tooltip, and a bonus row underneath — either a flat percentage such as +10% or a multiplier such as x1.75.
How do you get gears in Anime Dice?
By playing towers. Open the Towers list, press a tower's Play button, and the panel that opens carries a green-headed Drops panel on its right; gear tiles sit inside that grid alongside the potions and the gem. The printed percentage on each tile is the chance that tile rolls, and lower-floor bands and higher-floor bands hold different tiles. Nothing else in the client hands out gears — none of our frames show a shop, quest or code paying one.
How many gear slots are there?
The Backpack's Gears tab lays five labelled boxes around your character: Head, Torso, Back, Upper and Waist. We read all five names at native resolution on two separate seconds, so all five are certain; whether the panel scrolls to reveal a sixth box is not something we could settle, because no frame shows the panel scrolled or a scrollbar. An empty box answers a hover with You don't own any gear for this slot yet.
What is the best gear in Anime Dice?
We are not publishing a ranked list, because a rank needs a common yardstick and the tooltips do not supply one. Some gears print a percentage — Nezuka's Bamboo +10%, Shizui's Tanto +15%, Obita's War Fan +25% — and others print a multiplier such as Tanjuro's Katana x1.75 or Obita's War Fan x1.25, and one War Fan prints both at once. Nothing on screen says which currency those rows act on or how they add together when several gears are equipped, so any ordering would be our guess dressed as data.
Does the Infinity Tower drop gears?
The creator's own caption on the UPD 6 explainer says every tower has gears available except the Infinity Tower, and the frame we captured backs the exclusion at one level: its Drops grid prints potions, a purple gem and a rainbow reroll crystal, and no gear-shaped tile appears in it at any scroll position we recorded. That is narrower than saying the tower drops nothing — the same panel is full of consumables, and our older tower-drops page already prints those percentages.
Can gears be upgraded or traded?
No frame we read shows either. There is no upgrade button on a gear tooltip, and the Backpack's Gears tab offers only the five boxes. A stack badge such as x9 on a Backpack tile proves duplicates accumulate, so something has to consume them eventually, but nothing on screen says what. Treat every claim about upgrading, rerolling or trading gears as unverified until a frame shows the button.

What Are Gears in Anime Dice?

UPD 6 gave the tower panel a second job. For several rounds the green-headed Drops panel that opens beside a tower has been the place to read a tower’s loot — potions, a purple gem, a rainbow trait-reroll crystal — each tile stamped with its own percentage. In UPD 6 that same grid also holds gear: equippable pieces with a rarity word and a bonus, which you wear instead of spending.

The way to recognise one is the tooltip. Every gear tile we hovered answered with a name on the first line, a rarity word on the second, and then one or two bonus rows beneath a divider. Consumable tiles answer with less: our earlier UPD 5 frames of these same columns show the purple gem introducing itself as Gems at Celestial rarity and stopping there, with nothing under the divider — the tower-drops page prints those panels.

Five labelled boxes ring a smiling character in Anime Dice's Backpack Gears tab — bamboo in the blue-bordered Head, a war fan in the gold Back, a katana in the gold Waist, and Torso and Upper left empty

Three of these five boxes were filled on the account we recorded, and the character standing between them wears all three — the fan slung behind a shoulder and the katana across its back are the same two pieces listed in the Drops panels further down this page.

Backpack itself is not new — it has held units and items for several rounds. What is new is the third tab down its left edge:

Three tabs run down the left of Anime Dice's Backpack window — a torso icon labelled Units, a bag icon labelled Items and a helmet icon labelled Gears lit in white — beside the open Gears panel where the bamboo sits in Head and four boxes stay grey

Units and Items keep their old jobs. The helmet icon is the new one, and it is the only one of the three that shows your character rather than a grid of tiles.

How Do You Get Gears?

From towers, and only from towers. The Towers list is a stack of banner cards, one per tower, each with a coloured difficulty word printed over its art and a green Play button:

Anime Dice Towers list showing the Pirate Tower card marked Hard in red above the Hidden Leaf Tower card marked Extreme in purple, each card carrying its own banner art and a green Play button on the right

Difficulty here is a single coloured word, Hard on the pirate card and Extreme on the leaf card, and it sits directly under each tower’s name. It is the game’s own label, not our ranking; the Slayer Tower and Infinity Tower cards, one scroll further down, print Nightmare and Infinity the same way.

Press Play and the tower panel opens with its own pink or orange title bar, a Your Team row of four unit cards, Equip Best and Fight buttons — and, docked to its right, a second panel with a green title bar reading Drops. That green panel is where gear lives.

The panel is a scrollable grid of tiles, and the tiles are grouped under floor headers — Floor 25+, Floor 90+ — with a percentage stamped into the corner of each tile and, on stacked entries, a small xN badge. Gear tiles sit in that grid in the same rows as the consumables, distinguished by their drop rate rather than by a separate section: in every column where we could read the deepest band, the rarest tile sat alone under that band’s floor header.

The katana in the third row prints 0.125% and the coat under Floor 90+ prints 0.01%, and the open tooltip is the only place the coat says what it is called — which is the whole reason hovering is the system.

The whole UPD 6 gear system — Towers list, Drops panel and Backpack Gears tab — is opened in the middle of this recording

Sources: every gear name, rarity word, bonus row and printed percentage on this page was read from JuniorGummy’s NEW GEARS UPDATE IN ANIME DICE!! (uploaded 2026-09-28, about three minutes), a no-facecam, no-burned-caption recording checked frame by frame at native 1920×1080 on 2026-09-29. Each screenshot deep-links to the second it came from. The speaker’s own claim that every tower carries gears except the Infinity Tower comes from Ops Gamer’s 2 NEW CODES + HOW TO GET GEARS! — a burned-caption video we quote but deliberately do not take a single picture from. The developer publishes no patch notes and no gear list.

Where Do You Equip Gears?

Backpack → Gears. On the frames where the tab draws its equip layout, five labelled boxes sit around a live character model — Head, Torso, Back, Upper, Waist — and each box is either empty, showing a grey silhouette of what belongs there, or filled with the piece you own, ringed in the colour of its rarity. Nothing else in that layout is interactive: there is no level, no upgrade arrow, no fuse button.

An empty box is not silent either, which is how we know the slots are separate storage rather than cosmetics: hovering one answers with a plain line of text.

Which Gears Have We Read, and What Do They Give?

Six gears, all read at native resolution off the UPD 6 client. Two are Rare, two are Legendary and two are Divine — the rarity word is the second line of the tooltip and its colour matches the border the tile is drawn in.

GearRarityBonus row(s) readTooltip border
Nezuka's BambooRare+10%blue
Shizui's TantoRare+15%blue
Obita's War FanLegendary+25% and x1.25gold
Tanjuro's KatanaLegendaryx1.75gold
Obita's MaskDivine+40% and +30%blue
Mazun's CoatDivine+50% and x2blue

The two Rare pieces are the plainest read in the set, and both were re-read on more than one second to rule out a soft focus:

Hovering the blue-bordered bamboo in Anime Dice's Backpack raises a tooltip that reads Nezuka's Bamboo, Rare, above a purple gem icon and the value +10%

One row, no divider clutter, and a rarity colour that matches the tile’s own blue outline: this is what the panel answers with for a common piece.

Watch the Nezuka’s Bamboo tooltip at 1:44

The second Rare piece sits beside a Legendary in the same Backpack tile row, and the frame that names it also settles a question about duplicates:

Two stacked tiles sit side by side in Anime Dice's Backpack, the gold war fan stamped x9 beside a blue katana whose tooltip answers Shizui's Tanto, Rare, over a green +15% row

The x9 on the fan beside the tooltip is the second thing this frame settles: identical gears stack in the Backpack rather than replacing each other.

Watch the Shizui’s Tanto tooltip beside the x9 stack at 2:01

Legendary pieces carry more. This one prints a percentage and a multiplier on separate rows, which is the first proof that the two kinds of row are not alternatives:

A gold-bordered war fan answers the cursor in Anime Dice's Backpack with a tooltip listing Obita's War Fan, Legendary, then a green +25% row and a x1.25 row

One tooltip, two reward rows, and a rarity word whose gold matches the border drawn around the tile itself.

Watch the Obita’s War Fan tooltip at 2:10

The other Legendary we read prints only a multiplier, and prints it to two decimal places:

The gold-outlined katana in Anime Dice's Backpack reveals a tooltip reading Tanjuro's Katana, Legendary, over a single x1.75 row marked with a green cube icon

x1.75 is not a rounding of x1.7; the digits are legible at native resolution on two separate seconds of this recording.

Does Every Tower Drop Gears?

Not every one, and the exception comes from the creator’s own caption rather than from a panel. The UPD 6 explainer’s own caption reads “Every tower has gears available except for the Infinity Tower”, and the Infinity Tower’s Drops panel in our recording is consistent with that at the level of what is visible in it: potions, a purple gem and a rainbow crystal, with no gear-shaped tile in any band we could see.

![Anime Dice Infinity Tower panel with a multi-coloured title bar and four team cards, beside a green Drops panel whose top band prints a 4% potion, a 1% gem, a 0.5% crystal and a Floor 25 plus header over three 2% potion tiles and a 2% x2 gem](/images/articles/gears/gears-infinity-tower-drops-no-gear-tiles.webp ‘The tower the creator’s caption excludes — consumables only, and no gear tile in the grid’)

Read carefully, though: “no gears” is not “no drops”. The same panel is full of potions and a gem, and the tower-drops page already prints what they are worth.

Two other towers show gear tiles plainly. The Hidden Leaf Tower keeps a war fan in the band above Floor 90+ and, alone under that header, a single white orb that names itself as a Divine piece when hovered:

Anime Dice Hidden Leaf Tower Drops panel with tiles reading 0.5% three times, a 1.5% x6 gem, a 1% x3 crystal and a 0.2% war fan above a Floor 90 plus header, and an open tooltip beside the 0.015% white orb reading Obita's Mask, Divine, with +40% and +30% rows

0.015% is the rarest number in this column and the tooltip is the only place the orb is named. Its two rows are both percentages, which is a third combination the tooltips use.

Watch the Obita’s Mask tooltip at 0:51

The Pirate Tower’s column holds a different pair — a three-bladed gold piece and a blue four-point shuriken, neither of which appears in the Slayer or Hidden Leaf columns we recorded. The creator states the rule the frames imply without naming it: “Each tower has its own gear drop chances.”

Anime Dice Pirate Tower Drops panel with tiles reading 0.75% three times, a 1.5% x4 gem and a 0.75% x3 crystal beside a gold-bordered three-bladed gear at 0.25%, above a Floor 90 plus header and a blue-bordered four-point shuriken at 0.02%

Two gear tiles in one column, one per band: a gold-bordered piece at 0.25% and a blue-bordered piece at 0.02%. Neither appears in the Slayer or Hidden Leaf columns we recorded.

Watch the Pirate Tower Drops panel at 0:58

That is the practical shape of the feature. Every tower we opened except the Infinity Tower had gear tiles in its Drops panel, the tiles sat in the floor bands the consumables already used, and the rarest tile in the column was always the gear. For the printed drop rate of every tile we could read — gear and consumable together — the tower-drops page is the table; this page is the system behind it.

What Could Not Be Verified About Gears

Stated plainly, so that a guide quoting any of it as settled is quoting something we did not write:

  • How the bonus rows work. No screen says whether +25% is income, damage, luck or something else, what x1.25 multiplies, or how two equipped pieces combine. Everything in the table above is the tooltip’s own text and nothing more.
  • Whether five is the whole wardrobe. Head, Torso, Back, Upper and Waist are certain — five labelled boxes, read at native resolution on two seconds. Whether the panel scrolls to a sixth box is not: no frame shows a scrollbar or a scrolled state.
  • Whether any gear can be upgraded, rerolled or traded. No button and no option appears on a tooltip or in the Gears tab. The x9 stack we found means duplicates pile up, which implies a sink somewhere, and that implication is all we have.
  • The Dragon Tower’s and Cursed Tower’s gear pools. Neither panel was opened in this recording, so neither tower has a gear frame on this page — not because either lacks gears, but because we did not see them.
  • The name of one Pirate Tower piece. We read a gold three-bladed gear and a blue shuriken in the Pirate column but never hovered either, so neither is named here rather than guessed from its art.
  • The drop rate of the Backpack pieces. The Backpack’s Gears tab prints no percentage anywhere — a gear only shows its drop rate while it is a tile in a tower’s Drops panel. Nezuka's Bamboo, Shizui's Tanto, Obita's War Fan, Tanjuro's Katana and Obita's Mask were all named from Backpack tooltips, and the tooltip covers its own tile whenever it is open, so the pairing of a name to a printed percentage had to be made across seconds. Only Mazun's Coat at 0.01% and Obita's Mask at 0.015% were read as name and number in one frame. Every percentage we could read is on the tower-drops table.

If your client names a Dragon or Cursed Tower gear, shows a sixth slot, or opens an upgrade panel, a dated screenshot through the contact page settles it and gets credited here.

Is the Gear Grind Worth the Tickets?

That question has a printed half and an unprinted half, and only the printed half is answerable. Towers cost tickets, the quests board pays tickets on a daily and a two-day clock, and the deepest band of a tower’s Drops panel is where its gear sits — one tile in a few hundred for the gold-bordered pieces, one in several thousand for the Divine ones. Because every tower’s pool differs, the ticket you spend is tied to the gear you want: the Slayer Tower column does not hold the Pirate Tower’s shuriken.

The unprinted half is whether the bonus is worth it, and that is where we stop. A +50% row looks enormous next to a 1.5% x8 gem tile, but a percentage of what is not stated anywhere on screen, and neither is the arithmetic for two equipped pieces. What we can say is structural: the gear lives in the rarest band of each tower, the tiles that hold it are drawn in the rarity colour of the piece inside, and the Backpack’s Gears tab shows the result on the character rather than in a stat sheet. Pick the tower by the picture in your Backpack, not by a number we cannot source.
